1. Call to Order - Upon announcement by the presiding officer that a quorum is present, the meeting will be called to order.
special meeting of the Board of Trustees of Katy Independent School District to
order. Today is Monday, September 12th and the time is 5 p.m. We will now proceed to
the Pledge of Allegiance.

2. Verification of Compliance with the Provisions of the Open Meetings Act

meeting chelsea i do confirm we are in compliance with the provisions of the texas open meetings act
for our meeting tonight on behalf of my colleagues i welcome everyone to this evening's special board
meeting each board member received the agenda and documentation for this meeting on friday september
9 2022 board members will be able to ask questions receive answers and should be prepared to take
action the board will now convene and close meeting as authorized under section 551001
3. Closed Meeting - Closed Meeting will be held for the purposes authorized by the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Section 551.001 et seq. concerning any and all purposes permitted by the Act, including but not limited to the section and purposes listed below.

The Board heard Level 3 Grievance 21-041, Pursuant to Katy Independent School District Policy, GF Legal and GF Local, regarding parent-student grievances in closed meeting.
In accordance with Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code, any action regarding this matter must be taken in open meeting.

Thereby upholding the decision of the level 1 and level 2 hearing officer
Second we have a motion by miss van and the second by mr.
