School District to order. Today is Friday, November 17th, 2017. Time is 12 p.m.
By law, for purposes of canvassing election results, only two board members
are required to constitute a quorum. Noting that at least two board members
are present, the board will now convene an open meeting. Dr. Hint, will you verify
that we are in compliance with the provisions of Texas Open Meetings Act
with regards to notice for this meeting we are in compliance with the
provisions of the Texas Open Meetings Act with regard to the notice for this
meeting today now we'd like to move to our action item consider board approval
of the order of canvassing returns and declaring results of the school board
bond election mr. Graham madam president mr. Scott dr. Hintz what you have before
you is a fairly simple order canvassing the election. Let me just go over some of
the high points of this order which I think are worth noting here today and
worth noting moving forward. We had a total of 13,722 votes cast in our
three counties, 9,007 votes for, 4,715 votes against, for a total of over
65.6% voting in favor of the issuance of the $609,200 bond. The
election was duly called and notice thereof given in accordance with the law.
The election was held in the manner required by law. Only resident qualified
electors of the district voted at the election. A written return of the
election results was made to the districts in accordance with the
election code and majority of the resident qualified voters of the
district voting in the election including absentee voted voted for the
proposition the official return shall be delivered to the secretary of the board
of trustees who is hereby directed to enter into the election registrar the
tabulation of the votes cast for and against the proposition and to preserve
such tabulation as is required by law. As discussed herein and made evident by Dr.
Hint, the Board of Trustees officially finds and determines that written notice
of this election was properly posted. The president or vice president of the Board
of Trustees is authorized to execute and the secretary of the Board of Trustees
is authorized to attest and seal this order on behalf of the Board of Trustees.

that motion a motion has been made by mr. Scott and a second by myself that
the board trustees approves the order of canvassing returns and declaring results
of school bond building bond election we'll take a vote all in favor raise your
right hand say aye motion passes 2 to 0 the meeting is adjourned the time is 12
